A new business is offering advanced deep cleaning services.

Oasis  has years of experience in coating technology and professional cleaning services. Currie Hair, Skin and Nails and Studio One Eleven just re-opened after deep cleaning last week.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has stated that businesses like restaurants, personal care, and fitness centers need to deep clean their facilities with EPA approved materials before re-opening.

“There are two approaches being used by local business owners to fulfill the requirement: self-cleaning and professional deep cleaning,” stated Jeremy Walter, managing partner of Oasis Clean, LLC.

With the first approach, business owners deploy their staff to clean every surface in their building. Using this approach, the staff cleans booths, desks, counters, chairs with a commercial cleaner approved for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.  This approach meets the minimum requirement for reopening.  Done properly, this approach can be effective, Oasis stated.

The alternative approach is to hire a professional team that will deep clean all surfaces in the facility, not only booths, desks, and counters, but also carpets, equipment, and wall surfaces with a two-step process providing long-term antimicrobial protection that eliminates 99.999 percent of bacteria and viruses on treated surfaces.  This approach meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19 and can provide protection for three months, a release stated.

“The advantage of the professional deep cleaning approach is the application method is more thorough, treating more of the surface areas in a facility.  In addition, the second step provides continuous antimicrobial protection via a proprietary “Electro-Mechanical” process that kills germs without the use of harmful chemicals and lasts for at least 3 months.” Walter stated.

The Currie Hair, Skin and Nails Salon on the Wilmington Riverfront reopened on  June 1, after deep cleaning last week.  Customers are greeted with an Oasis Clean shield decal on the door when they enter the salon.  Studio One Eleven, in the Hercules Building at 1313 Market Street, also just completed deep cleaning and displayed the Oasis Clean Shield on their counter and in their window.

“We are working to educate business owners on the options that are available to help them develop a cleaning strategy that protects their staff and protects the business’s relationship with their customers,” Walter stated.
