Jewish Federation announces marketing honors

The Jewish Federation of Delaware announced it has received honors.

The federation received three awards recognizing creativity and marketing excellence from the 2020 Hermes Creative Awards, an international awards competition recognizing work while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communications professionals.

  • Federation received Gold Award recognition in the following categories; Magazine Category for its publication j-VOICE Monthly 
  • Annual Report Category for its 2018-2019 Impact Report to the Community

Federation also received Honorable Mention recognition in the Nonprofit Website category for its community portal at www.ShalomDelaware.org.

Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

Jewish Federation of Delaware has landed three First-Place awards and an Honorable Mention in Delaware Press Association’s 2020 Communications Contest.

The annual Delaware Press Association Communications Contest, open to all professional communicators in Delaware and nearby out-of-state communities, encourages and rewards excellence in communication. 

The annual contest is two-tiered. The first tier of the contest is the statewide DPA competition. The second tier is the national competition, run by the National Federation of Press Women. All entries that receive a first place are eligible for entry into the national competition.

Federation received awards in the following categories:

  • Specialty Articles/Government or politics: “ Israel & Gaza: An Historical Perspective” By John Elzufon First-Place Award:
  • Columns/General: “ Never Forget: Seventy-Four Years Later” By Steve Gonzer First-Place Award:
  • Page Design/magazine: “j-VOICE Monthly: Travel & Recreation Issue” By Carolyn Katwan Honorable Mention:
  • Feature Story/Magazine: “Does Your Back to School Checklist Include Vaccination?” By Whitney Katirai
