SEPTA has announced the following schedule changes on its regional commuter rail line that runs from Newark to Center City Philadelphia. The changes became effective, March 8.
- Train #9212, currently departing Newark Station at 6:46 a.m. will now depart 4 minutes earlier at 6:42 a.m. and all station stops up to 4 minutes earlier.
- Train #2716, currently departing Newark Station at 7:37 a.m. will now depart 3 minutes earlier at 7:34 a.m. and all station stops 3 minutes earlier between Newark and Claymont Stations.
- Train #2720, currently departing Newark Station at 8:28 a.m. will become train #9220 and will terminate at Temple University Station.
- Train #222, currently departing Wilmington Station at 9:50 a.m. will become train #9232 and will now depart 1 minute earlier at 9:49 a.m. and all station stops up to 2 minutes earlier terminating at Temple University Station.
- Train #264, currently departing Wilmington Station at 5:50 p.m. will now depart 3 minutes later at 5:53 p.m. and all station stops up 3 to 4 minutes later.
OUTBOUND (Towards Marcus Hook/Wilmington/Newark):
- Train #227, currently departing Suburban Station at 10:49 a.m. will become train #9227 and will now 21 minutes earlier at 10:28 a.m. and all station stops 21 minutes earlier.
- Train #229, currently departing Suburban Station at 11:49 a.m. will become train #9229 and will now depart 21 minutes earlier at 11:28 a.m. and all station stops 21 minutes earlier.
- Train #9231, currently departing Suburban Station at 12:42 p.m. will now depart 14 minutes earlier at 12:28 p.m. and all station stops 14 minutes earlier
- Train #237, currently departing Suburban Station at 2:37 p.m. will become train #9237 and will now depart 9 minutes earlier at 2:28 p.m. and all station stops 9 minutes earlier.
- Train #273, currently departing Suburban Station at 8:42 p.m. will now depart 1 minute LATER at 8:43 p.m. and all station stops 1 minute later.
Weekend service changes
INBOUND (towards Center City):
- Train #9236, currently departing Wilmington Station at 11:44 p.m. will become train #266 and will now depart 3 minutes later at 11:47 p.m. and all station stops 3 minutes later, continuing to Norristown.
OUTBOUND (Towards Marcus Hook/Wilmington/ Newark):
- Train #9201, currently departing Suburban Station at 5:35 a.m. will depart 6 minutes earlier at 5:29 a.m. and all station stops up to 6 minutes earlier.
Due to Amtrak track and switch work between Marcus Hook and Wilmington, all trains are subject to slow speed conditions and may arrive up to 10 minutes later at destination stations.
