McKenzie

McKenzie to head Hagley

Hagley Museum and Library Board of Trustees announced that Executive Director David A. Cole, Jr., has accepted the position of  CEO of the Science History Institute in Philadelphia. His last day at Hagley will be May 17. 

Board President Henry B. duPont IV reports that the Board has made a unanimous decision to appoint Jill MacKenzie as Hagley’s next executive director. 

MacKenzie is currently Hagley’s Director of Museum and Audience Engagement, a position she has held for four years. Her tenure at Hagley began in 1982 when she was hired to lead the marketing department during a time when the museum experienced record attendance. In the early 1990s she was appointed Director of External Affairs and Development and was instrumental in managing several successful capital campaigns that provided funds for Hagley’s collection storage and a new Visitor Center.

MacKenzie holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in communication from the University of Delaware and received a certificate in museum management from the Getty Leadership Institute. She serves on the board of the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau as 1st Vice Chairman.

Heggan

 Two Santora staffers get CPA licenses

Santora CPA announced that Katie Diseroad and Brandon Heggan have earned their Certified Public Accountant Licenses in Delaware.

Diseroad joined the firm in August 2018 after interning with us during the summer of 2017.  She is a graduate of the University of Delaware with bachelor of science degrees in Accounting and Finance.

Heggan also joined the firm in August 2018 after interning with us during the summer of 2017.  He graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Delaware.

Both are members of the American Institute and Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Corrections promotions

Bureau of Community Corrections Chief Marvin Mailey announced that Melissa Kearney and Jeffrey Boykin have been promoted to Regional Probation and Parole Managers.  Their positions provide leadership and direction over two regional Probation and Parole offices that oversee probation and parole, pretrial services and other supervision programs for thousands of individuals who are serving pretrial and probationary sentences in the community.

Kearney, a new Regional Manager at the Cherry Lane Probation and Parole office in New Castle County, began her career as a Probation Officer with the DOC in 1995.  She has spent a majority of her career supervising the Domestic Violence Unit in New Castle County, where she has represented DOC on multiple task forces and committees and served as a leader in the domestic violence community.  She joins Robert Willoughby as a Regional Manager at the state’s largest Probation and Parole office.

Boykin, new Regional Manager at the Hares Corner Probation and Parole office in New Castle County, joined the DOC in 1998 and graduated from the Basic Officer Training Course (BOTC) as a Probation Officer in 1999.  He has worked at the Hares Corner, Cherry Lane, and former Pine Street Probation and Parole offices, where he has completed rotations in Institutional Release, Level 2 and Level 3 supervision, and the IADAPT reentry program. He was promoted to Supervisor in 2011 at the Hares Corner Office and was promoted to Operations Administrator at that location in September, 2019. 

Dorio

Bayhealth director named

 Faith Colwell-Dorio is Bayhealth’s new senior director of Perioperative Services. Colwell-Dorio holds a master’s in nursing with a specialization in nursing informatics from Walden University and a bachelor’s in nursing from Southern Connecticut State University.

 She has experience in program development, business operations, and clinical integration. As senior director, Colwell-Dorio is responsible for overseeing all perioperative services, including those at both Bayhealth Kent Campus and Bayhealth Sussex Campus and at Bayhealth Surgery Center, Kent Campus.

Shore United Bank manager receives certification

Shore United Bank named Julia Schinault, payroll and benefits manager, received  certification as a Professional in Human Resources. The Eastern Shore bank has branches in Maryland.

This certification demonstrates the mastery of the technical and operational aspects of Human Resources, including United States laws and regulations.

Berkshire Hathaway welcomes associate

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors Hockessin Pike Creek Home Marketing Center, welcomed Linda Peng as a sales associate. Licensed since 2013, Peng was formerly with Provest Realty Associates. She is a member of the New Castle County Board of Realtors and serves New Castle County.
