Wilmington native Coker leaving Philly tourism post for San Diego

Wilmington native Julie Coker is leaving her post as head of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau to take a similar portion in San Diego.

Coker had served in the post since 2016.She joined the bureau after a long career at various hotels with the Hyatt chain that included managing its Philadelphia hotel and conference center.

In 2017, Coker spokeas a panelist at an event with the Great Dames women’s group in Delaware on the advantages of mentoring.
