DECO announced the addition of  Stu & Sammy’s, the food hall’s first new tenant since its opening last spring. Stu & Sammy’s, as suggested in the name, will bring delicatessen-style soup and sandwiches to the stall formerly occupied by The Verandah.

Owners Amit and Radhika Sule announced they closed  The Verandah on Friday, January 17, at 2 p.m., Stu & Sammy’s is set to open on Wednesday, January 22, for the city’s lunch crowd.

Makers Alley Chef James Sparks  has come up with the  menu at Stu & Sammy’s, which will feature modern interpretations of classics like the French Dip and Cubano alongside soups. Stu & Sammy’s will add comfort food to the variety of cuisines available at DECO, which features James Beard nominated pizza from Pizzeria Bardea, Connie’s chicken, Vietnamese pho and subs from Phubs, Al Chu’s   sushi rolls,   acai bowls from Stripp’d, and pastries from Spark’d.

The Burger Joint, which has been operating the pop-up in conjunction with Federale Tacos for the past few months, has renewed their lease and will be launching a new menu next week, introducing stuffed burgers and salads.

“We want DECO to be known for its food, fun, and flexibility,” said Mark Barnyak, general manager of DECO. “We are proud to be able to easily evolve based on the tastes and requests of our patrons without compromising quality or convenience.”

In addition to new food options, diners will soon see new entertainment offerings at DECO, including ping pong and indoor cornhole. Those looking for an element of competition can even register for adult ping pong and cornhole leagues at DECO through Delaware Sports Leagues. The young, and young at heart, will also enjoy added board games for more lighthearted fun. To play, guests should check out the necessary equipment from the bar using a form of ID.

These new entertainment offerings compliment DECO’s daily programming, which is regularly updated via  newsletter. To sign up, please visit our website
