Wilmington kicks off holiday season with Saturday events downtown

On Saturday, Wilmington’s holiday season officially kicks off with the 56th Annual Jaycees Christmas Parade  and Small Business Saturday.

Also opening on Saturday is the Market Street Pop-Up Holiday Village & Light Display in Willington Square.

The festivities continue next week with  Caroling on the Square and the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 3, followed by an After-Party at DE.CO. The final Art Loop of 2019 will take place on Friday, December 6.

At the holiday village, local vendors will set up outdoors with great handmade gifts for the holidays.

The Holiday Light Display in Willingtown Square will be open to the public seven days a week from dusk until 9 p.m. starting November 30th and running through February 2020.

In addition, there will be Small Business Saturday specials. Street parking is free on weekends in downtown.
