PNC Bank has a new Delaware Market Executive and announced plans to keep its headquarters in Wilmington.
PNC veteran Jim Hutchinson was named Delaware Market Executive effective immediately. He has more than 30 years of financial services experience.
PNC is one of the largest full-service banks in Delaware and also has investment management operations.
n addition to serving as Market Executive, Hutchinson, who takes on the role following the retirement of Bruce Colbourn, is assuming responsibilities as Wealth Director for the market.
As Market Executive, Hutchinson will lead PNC’s relationships with the local business community and community organizations, along with overseeing business development and relationship management for the market’s Wealth Management team.
Hutchinson began his PNC career in 2001 as an investment advisor in PNC’s Wilmington headquarters location. In 2013, he took on leadership responsibilities as team director for PNC’s newly-formed wealth management group based in Blue Bell, PA. During the past year, he has led PNC’s Center City Philadelphia team as a Wealth Director.
Hutchinson received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University, a Master’s degree in Finance from Temple University, and a Juris Doctor from The Delaware Law School-Widener University.
Along with the appointment of Hutchinson as market executive, PNC also announced a long-term lease renewal agreement for its 222 and 300 Delaware Ave. office tower locations.
Executives representing commercial and retail banking, wealth management and more, all based at PNC downtown regional headquarters.
The announcement is good news after the long-running departure of jobs in downtown by Bank of America and DuPont moving its headquarters to the Chestnut Run complex outside the city.
Chemours did fill part of the gap by locating its headquarters at the former DuPont head office.
