The owner of the Hamlet Shopping Center in Dover has announced  plans for a  building façade renovation and lighting improvement plan.

This center at the intersection of Walker and McKee Roads is also changing its name to the    “The Shoppes at HAMLET”, Paul Pantano stated.

The original wood siding will be removed and replaced with modern fiber cement plank-type siding. The new look will create distinct and colorful building sections that will better define the merchants’ space, and will be  more visually appealing, a release stated.  This work is scheduled to get underway this month.

The Shoppes at HAMLET  name incorporates “Hamlet” to retain local recognition and remain consistent with the identity of the Hamlet residential communit. The name  “will resonate as familiar yet imply a sense of change, we think for the better. Paired with the façade and lighting improvements this will enhance the appeal of the center dramatically and build on the other positive development activities in the area,” a release stated.

Another feature is enhanced exterior LED lighting and light fixtures that will be installed.
