Rehoboth condo fire damage may exceed $1 million


The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that heavily damaged a condominiumcomplex.

The blaze, reported around 1 a.m., was reported in the 35000 block of Haven Drive in the Beach Haven Condominiums near Coastal Highway. The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company responded to the fire.

State Fire investigators are currently on the scene investigating the cause of this fire.

The 18-unit building has been evacuated and closed due to structural damage. It is not known how many people were in the building prior to the discovery of the fire.

Fire damage may exceed $1 million. There were no reported injuries.
