The Chemours Company announced that Paul Kirsch, president of the company’s Fluoroproducts business, has elected to leave Chemours. Edwin (Ed) Sparks, who is president of Chemours’ Chemical Solutions business, will lead Fluoroproducts as well, effective immediately. They will work closely together throughout the month of October to assure a seamless transition, providing continuity for Chemours customers and other stakeholders.

Prison health care chief retires, successor named

The Delaware Department of Correction announced  that after four years as Chief of the Bureau of Correctional Healthcare Services Dr. Marc Richman will depart the agency to pursue opportunities consistent with his career-long interest in promoting best practices in healthcare. James Elder, who currently heads the DOC’s Bureau of Community Corrections, has agreed to step in as Chief of an expanded Bureau of Healthcare, Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Services starting November 1.

DelDOT names maintenance director

Secretary of Transportation Jennifer Cohan announced Anne Brown as the new director of Maintenance & Operations for DelDOT. Brown is the first woman to lead M&O, and succeeds Mark Alexander, who retired from the Department on September 30, 2019, after 32 years of service. 

Brown has been with DelDOT since 2010, beginning her career in M&O as a fiscal management analyst in the Business Management section before being promoted to chief of administration for M&O.

She has a bachelor’s degree in business management and master of business administration from Wilmington University.

Delaware Soybean Board names executive director

The Delaware Soybean Board has named Danielle Bauer as Executive Director effective October 1, 2019.

Previously,  Danielle was with Thompson Ag Consulting as the Programs and Public Relations Director, where she worked with a variety of agricultural and natural resource organizations, gaining experience working with commodity groups and checkoff programs. She is a graduate of LEAD Maryland, Wheat Industry Leaders of Tomorrow, and completed the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Communications Boot Camp.

She is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she studied agriculture and natural resources.

Nanticoke names chief nursing officer

Nanticoke announced that Ray Fulkrod, Jr. has been named Nanticoke Memorial Hospital’s new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). With his new role as CNO, Fulkrod will be responsible for ensuring patients receive the highest quality care. Fulkrod has been with Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for over seven years, serving most recently as the Vice President of Clinical Operations.

Fulkrod received his Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Delaware Technical and Community College-Terry Campus, both his Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), and Masters of Science in Nursing Education (MSN) from Western Governors University, and his Doctoral Degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Grand Canyon University. He was selected in 2018 as a Delaware Tech-Terry Campus Distinguished Alumni.

Long & Foster associate named to elite group

Stephen Mottola, a sales associate in Long & Foster | Christie’s International Real Estate’s  The Mottola Group office in Greenville, Delaware, has been named to Christie’s  inaugural Masters Circle.  Mottola was chosen based on his expertise at the high end of the real estate market and ability to deliver a high level of service to sophisticated clients around the world.  

Christie’s announced the formation of the Masters Circle with the naming of its 2019 Members. The Masters Circle is a group of top-performing agents within the Christie’s global invitation-only network. The 2019 Masters Circle membership represents over 4,700 combined luxury home listings.
