The Delaware State Police are investigating an industrial accident that seriously injured a Laurel man working on a residential construction project.
The preliminary investigation determined the incident occurred on Friday at 2:12 p.m., at a residence that was under construction in the 31000 Block of Heather Lane, Bethany Beach.
A 62-year-old man, who works for a masonry contractor was on the second level of scaffolding. The victim fell from the scaffolding to the ground and sustained serious injuries.
The man was removed from the scene and transported by the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit to the Christiana Hospital where he is listed in stable but critical condition.
