Today is Patriot Day. The day marks the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
This law also directs the flags be lowered to half-staff for the entire day.
In concurrence with the directive, Gov. John Carney has ordered the U. S. and Delaware flags be flown at half staff beginning at the start of business today.
Flags should be returned to full-staff the start of business Thursday, Sept 12.
