Corynn Ciber has joined WSFS Bank as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer.  In this newly created role, she will work closely with Lisa M. Brubaker, WSFS Bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, and with teams of WSFS business leaders and expert third-party partners, to execute the Bank’s “Delivery Transformation” program. 

Ciber joins WSFS Bank with nearly 20 years of financial services experience, including several roles leading technology teams and initiatives.  Her most recent assignment involved successfully overseeing operations and technology infrastructure investment projects at Barclays Bank in Wilmington.

She is a graduate of the University of Delaware where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science.

Cover & Rossiter welcomes back Zarett

Cover & Rossiter, Wilmington west, welcomed Kim Zarett  back to the firm as a Principal in the Tax Department. Zarett has 20 years of experience in public accounting, along with 6 years of experience working in the hospitality and staffing industries.

Zarett received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware and her Master of Science in Taxation from Widener University. She is a member of the AICPA, Delaware Society of CPAs, where she serves on the Ethics Committee, and Estate Planning Council of Delaware.

Highway Safety director named

Robert M. Coupe, Secretary of Department of Safety and Homeland Security, announced the appointment of Kimberly A. Chesser, as Director of the Office of Highway Safety.

Chesser will oversee the Office of Highway Safety (OHS) working to improve the safety of Delaware’s roadways through various programs that focus on educating drivers and partnering with law enforcement to address speeding, distracted and impaired driving and occupant protection. In addition, she will manage public outreach programs and media campaigns on pedestrian, motorcycle, and bicycle safety as well as teen driving.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from Wilmington University and an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Delaware Technical and Community College. She is also a graduate of the Delaware State Police Academy.

This position was previous held by Jana Simpler who left in 2018 to serve as DMV Director.

Wohlsen Construction adds manager, superintendent

Wohlsen Construction Company announced the addition of two new construction professionals to the team.

Dennis Herr joins the team as a superintendent. With 35 years of experience and vast knowledge of the construction industry, he will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of Wohlsen’s project.

Steve Crandall joins Wohlsen as a senior project manager.He is ASHE Certified, Green Advantage Certified, and OSHA 30 Hour Certified.

Medical Society of Delaware adds rep

The Medical Society of Delaware announced that Dwayne Downs has joined the  Physicians Relations department as the new Training & Compliance representative.

Downs is a Navy veteran and a Certified Medical Office Manager who will provide HIPAA/OSHA training, as well as BLS certification training to practices.

The Nanticoke Physician Network adds staff

The Nanticoke Physician Network welcomed Julia Seeley, APRN, to its Nanticoke Immediate Care staff.

Seeley received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in Baltimore, her Master of Science in Nursing with a major in Critical Care from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas and her Post Masters Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Salisbury State University.

She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and has sixteen years of prior professional experience as a Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Urgent Care Association of America, and Sigma Theta Tau, Lamda Eta Chapter.

The Nanticoke Physician Network also welcomed Courtney Caputo, PA-C, to its active medical staff.

Caputo received both her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. She has prior professional experience working with veterans at the Long Island State Veterans Home.

WSFS Wealth Investments adds advisors

Financial advisors Bryan J. McNamara and Perry M. Sutton have joined WSFS Wealth Investments Group, a subsidiary of WSFS Bank.

McNamara is a Financial Advisor in Southeastern Pennsylvania with 20 years of providing assistance and guidance to his clients.  McNamara is a 1991 graduate of Rider University with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance.

As Vice President and Financial Advisor, Mr. Sutton will focus on assisting clients in Southern New Jersey.  He is a 2008 graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
