Little Feat’s Funky Feat to headline Fortify Music Fest at Fort DuPont

Four members of the legendary band Little Feat will headline  the 2019 Fortify Music Fest.

Little Feat, on their national tour celebrating their 50th Anniversary, sometimes break away to play at smaller venues. They will be coming to Fort DuPont located in Delaware City on August 10th.  The last time Little Feat played in Delaware was 1990.

The music starts at 1 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.

The 2019 Fortify Music Fest, will feature two local artists, The Susquehanna Floods and Lovebettie.

Southern rock classics will be provided by High Noon and in the late afternoon,  Countdown to Ecstasy will play Steely Dan cuts.

Four of the original members of the  band Little Feat, will be performing as Funky Feat and will close out the Fortify Music Fest.  See video below for more details. 

Tickets are  $35 and children under the age of 12 are free Tickets are available at www.fortifyfest.com

In addition to the music, Fortify fans can pick  offerings from more than a dozen regional food trucks including Mojo Loco, Deerhead Hotdogs, Swamptown, Waffle Mamas and more. 

The Fortify Beer Garden will be back featuring some local craft beers from Big Oyster and Blue Earll. Also at the event will be a community stage featuring several up and coming Delaware Bands.  

The Beer Garden will provide the opportunity to sample some great summer beverages with a representative from the Guinness Open Gate Brewery from Baltimore on hand to provide samples of Guinness Blonde.   Samples of spirits will also be offered. 

The concert is held at Fort DuPont, which has more than  18 acres of free parking.

The Fort DuPont Redevelopment and Preservation Corporation is creating a mixed use community on the 400-acre former Army base, that was also used by the state as the Governor Bacon Health Center for many years.
