Millennial Summit returns in August

On August 6-7, more than 1,000 attendees from dozens of local and national organizations are expected to come to the Chase Center in Wilmington for the third annual Millennial Summit.

The Millennial Summit is a conference for young professionals, rising stars, innovators, and industry leaders in the Mid-Atlantic.

Attendees who attend either or both days of the summit will hear from more than 100 speakers leading discussions in the areas of leadership, finance, advocacy, nonprofits, health and wellness, the arts, and entrepreneurship.

Aug. 7 will be the inaugural Entrepreneurship Day, featuring local and national venture capitalists, disruptors, and startup success stories.

The Delaware Prosperity Partnership, one of the summit’s sponsors, will be in attendance and a representative will make opening remarks on Wednesday morning.

Listed below are the keynote speakers for the 2019 Millennial Summit:

  • Clay Mowry is the VP of Marketing for Jeff Bezos’ space exploration company, Blue Origin, which is working to test launch what will be the first spacecraft to take tourists into space.
  • Kechi Okwuchi, a two-time finalist on America’s Got Talent, is a singer, motivational speaker, and burn survivor advocate.
  • Del Johnson is Principal at Backstage Capital, a VC fund that specifically invests in underrepresented founders.
  • Wayne Kimmel is a sports tech venture capitalist, entrepreneur and author who has been named a top Innovator and one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Power 100.

“The thing that makes the MillSummit such a great event is that year after year, it proves to be the best place to make new connections, launch new initiatives, and collaborate with the next generation of leaders in Delaware. As the conference grows, it continues to elevate Delaware as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovative ideas.”More information about the speakers, panel moderators, schedule, and tickets are available at
