Cash Connect founder retiring at end of year from WSFS

WSFS Bank announced that Tom Stevenson, president of Cash Connect, a division of WSFS Bank, will retire by the end of 2019 after 23 at  WSFS and Cash Connect. 

Stevenson conceptualized Cash Connect and founded the company in January 2000, and under his leadership, Cash Connect expanded rapidly to become an industry innovator and the second-largest provider of ATM vault cash management and cash logistics services for approximately 26,600 non-bank ATMs and remote cash capture (smart safe, recycler and kiosk) units nationwide. 

Executive leadership of Cash Connect will be assumed by WSFS’ Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Dominic C. Canuso.  Reporting to  Canuso will be Cash Connect’s senior management team, including John Clatworthy in his role as Senior Vice President and Chief Customer and Strategy Officer, and Suzanne Ricci as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Allan Matyger, who was recently promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

Stevenson joined WSFS in 1996 as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer after previously holding numerous leadership roles in the payments, ATM and banking industries.

Bosso joins Tipton Communications

 Tipton Communications, Newark, welcomed  Julia Bosso to the team as a communications specialist. She will be responsible for creating, coordinating, and managing internal and external communications strategies for Tipton’s clients.

Bosso is a recent graduate of the University of Delaware, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communications, as well as minors in journalism and business administration.

 Cover & Rossiter promotion

Cover & Rossiter, Wilmington,  announced the recent promotion of Chris Jackson to Firm Administrator. In this newly-created role, Jackson is responsible for the smooth running, day-to-day operation of the firm.

This includes management oversight of the administrative support team, billing and collections, human resources, marketing, and information technology. In addition, Jackson will lead the firm’s data analytics initiative. Jackson joined the firm in 2012 as Assistant Controller and has been the firm’s Controller since 2013. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting from Pensacola Christian College.

Del-One Federal Credit Union announces staff additions

Del-One Federal Credit Union announced the addition of Kristen Saito as the new Director of Lending. She comes to Del-One with over 20 years in the banking/credit union industry and will be graduating from Western CUNA Management School this month.

Additional updates to the Del-One team include the promotion of Marc Kidwell to Chief Information Officer and Justin Smith was promoted to Director of Technology. 

Department of Correction names media relations officer

Department of Correction announced that Deputy Chief Paul G. Shavack has been appointed as the Interim Chief of Media Relations, effective immediately.  Shavack currently serves as the Deputy Bureau Chief of Bureau of Prisons.

Sussex County names airport chief

Sussex County officials announced Eric A. Littleton of Bridgeville will take the controls as manager of airport and business park operations this October when current manager Jim Hickin retires after 12 years of service. Littleton was selected from a field of five candidates for the job that oversees day-to-day operations of the complex near Georgetown. The airport sees  35,000 landings and takeoffs annually from a variety of aircraft.

Littleton, who holds certifications from the Community College of the Air Force, the American Association of Airport Executives, the Airport Councils International, and the FAA.

Easterseals names board member

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore welcomed Dr. Charmaine Wright, MD, of Media, PA, to its Board of Directors. As the Medical Director of the Center for Special Health Care Needs at Christiana Care Health Services, Wright oversees the department which is dedicated to providing primary and specialty care for adults with complex medical and social conditions such as those served by Easterseals.

Wright received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and has been in practice for nearly 20 years. She has received many awards and honors over the course of her career, including: Penn/CHOP Stephen Ludwig MD Mentorship Award and the Harold Amos Excellence Award from Harvard Medical School to name a couple.
