The Newark Morning Rotary Club presented its “Spirit in Business Award to the Greene Turtle restaurant in Newark.
The award is presented to a local business that exhibits the Rotary motto of Service Above Self. The award was given at the Rotary’s annual dinner late last month.
The award recognizes the business that gives back to their community and engages their employees to do the same.
Thanks to supportive ownership and the leadership of Simon Hewson, manager, the Green Turtle supports the K9 Battle of the Bars, Preston’s March For Energy, Preston’s Playground, Teacher Appreciation Week, Tips for Tots, and Veterans Day.
