Committee of 100 elects new board members

Two new members were recently elected to the board of directors of The Committee of 100 to help lead the organization in its mission to promote responsible economic development in Delaware.

Joining the board of directors are  Jeffrey W. Garland, vice president, and university secretary at the University of Delaware; and Phillip Hough, senior vice president commercial real estate at WSFS Bank.

Goldey-Beacom College announced the appointment of Mark A. Holodick, Ed.D. as a new member of its Board of Trustees, effective July 1.

Holodick was appointed Superintendent of the Brandywine School District in October 2009, after a long history with the district as a student, teacher, assistant principal, and principal.

Holodick earned his Bachelor of Arts at West Virginia Wesleyan University, his Master of Education at Wilmington University, and his Doctor of Education at the University of Delaware.

Delaware Botanic Gardens names deputy director

Ray Sander, President of Delaware Botanic Gardens (DBG) announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Brian W. Trader, Ph.D., as the new DBG Deputy Executive Director & Director of Horticulture.

Trader holds a Ph.D. in Horticulture; M.S. in Life Sciences; and B.S. in Horticulture all from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. He was Chair of the Membership Advisory Council, National Association of Landscape Professionals; and is currently a Board member, American Society for Horticultural Science.

Anderson selected as CEO of Sussex Realtors

Patricia Anderson has been elected CEO of the Sussex County Association of Realtors.

Anderson, SCAOR’s current Chief Operations Officer took  on the new role effective June 11th after serving in her interim capacity since November 2018.  She has been with SCAOR for almost four  years and has served the Association in Administration, Professional Standards Administrator, and as Director of Professional Development. 

Gemini Janitorial announces promotions

In 2000, Domingo Dorantes started as a janitor and worked his way up to a Supervisor at Gemini Janitorial Services. He was later  promoted to Operations Manager.

Michelle Segarra joined   Gemini  in June 2014. She has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. 

She has a wide variety of business experience, especially in the areas of accounting and payroll management.
