A restaurant with Mexican fare will take the place of Marco’s in the Sunset Plaza shopping center in the Bear-Glasgow area.
Xamena Kitchen and Longe held a soft opening last week at the former Marco’s location off Route 40.
The restaurant formally opened on Saturday and will serve lunch and dinner.
A menu posted on its Facebook page features traditional Mexican dishes at budget prices along with more upscale offerings such as ceviche. According to an Email message, Xamana will feature contemporary Mexican cuisine.
Margaritas, as well as other alcoholic beverages, will be offered.
Marco’s, which featured Italian fare, minus pizzas, closed last year after more than a decade. It was briefly operated under another name.
