Navient names Mills chair of board

Navient, Wilmington,  announced that Linda Mills was elected chair of its board of directors effective June 6, 2019, when Navient holds its annual meeting of shareholders.

[Not a valid template]Mills, who joined the board in 2014, is president of Cadore Group LLC, a management and technology consulting company. Previously, she was corporate vice president of operations for Northrop Grumman, a leading global security provider of advanced solutions for defense, intelligence, civil agency and commercial customers. At Northrop Grumman, she was responsible for driving effective operations to maximize performance, innovation and affordability.

In addition to Navient, Mills serves on the board of directors of American International Group, Inc. (AIG). She also serves on the board of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the board of visitors for the University of Illinois College of Engineering.

WSFS Bank names small business SVP

Long-time Greater Delaware Valley banker Anthony Ryan is the new Senior Vice President and Director of Small Business for WSFS Bank.  He will lead a team of 18 small business lenders for WSFS Bank.

Ryan joined WSFS Bank in 2011 as a Vice President and Small Business Relationship Manager, later becoming Vice President and the Small Business Lending Team Leader. Before  his career with WSFS, he held various retail and small business banking leadership roles with Sovereign Bank (now Santander Bank) and CoreStates Bank (now Wells Fargo). In 1983, he earned a B.A. in economics and philosophy from Trinity College Dublin, in Dublin, Ireland.

Chesapeake Utilities promotes Roberts

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation announced the appointment of Stacie Roberts to Assistant Vice President of Corporate Governance. Roberts will continue to report to Jim Moriarty, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Policy and Risk Officer of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. 

Roberts is active in external organizations including currently serving as a member of the Board and Chair of the Employment Committee of The Arc of Delaware which is dedicated to advocating for and serving Delawareans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Roberts also serves as an officer, member of the Advisory Board, and member of working groups for several organizations focused on corporate governance matters.

Cecil County names health officer

Lauren Levy has been selected as the new Health Officer for the Cecil County Health Department. Laurie Humphries has been the Acting Health Officer since Stephanie Garrity announced her retirement in 2018.

Levy holds a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University and Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Health Law & Policy from the University of Maryland School of Law.
