Dover Downs adds steakhouse-lounge

New Dover Downs Hotel & Casino owner Twin River Worldwide Holdings has converted the  Dover Downs  Lobby Bar into a four-day-a-week restaurant-lounge.

Opening Tuesday to the public, Michele’s Steakhouse Lounge will serve a new menu along with some of their dishes from the existing casino restaurant. Also featured will be cocktails and a  wine list The lounge, located just off the main hotel entrance, will also feature weekly live music beginning just after Memorial Day weekend.

The restaurant is in addition to Michele’s, a fine dining restaurant at the casino-resort.

“The expansion of Michele’s Steakhouse to our first floor of the casino is just the first of many new, exciting things you will see happening at Dover Downs.” said Nick Polcino, vice president and general manager of Dover Downs. “Adding live music and a new lively restaurant/bar right inside our main entrance allows guests to eat, relax and unwind, as soon as they walk through our doors. Our new ownership team at Twin River Worldwide Holdings is just getting started with making this property bigger and better than ever before and we are very excited to make this first upgrade available to our guests.”

Michele’s Steakhouse Lounge opens Tuesday, May 21 and will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the  restaurant-lounge will be used for private casino player events.

Dover Downs Hotel & Casino consists of a 500-room, hotel with full-service spa/salon and gaming options including slots, tables, poker, online gambling, Keno, sports betting, nationwide horse racing simulcasts and live harness racing November through April.

Twin River Worldwide Holdings, Inc. owns and manages four casinos, two casinos in Rhode Island, one in Mississippi, and one in Delaware, as well as a Colorado horse race track that has 13 authorized off track betting licenses.

Twin River completed the acquisition of Dover Downs earlier this year.
