Longtime downtown Wilmington tenant Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI)  will move to a new location in the Ogletown area south of Newark.

The relocation will allow CAI to expand its information technology capabilities and provide greater access for both customers and its associates, a release stated.  The company, founded in 1981, has been in Delaware for most of its existence.

CAI’s new location will be in the Iron Hill Corporate Center located at 700 Prides Crossing, Suite 100. The corporate center is owned by Buccini/Pollin Group, based in Wilmington. The site housed the original operations of MBNA and was sold by its successor, Bank of America.

The company is moving from 500 Creekwood in  Newark.  About  150 associates are affected  by the move. The company also occupied office space in Wilmington for a number of years.

CAI is listed as the sixth largest technology firm in the Philadelphia metro area by the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The facility will house office space for 300 Associates, host seven conference rooms, and include dedicated facilities for CAI’s Autism2Work initiative.”

“It is, in effect, a way to give back to our employees and clients that have been a part of this company’s significant growth over the past 35 years,” says Tom Salvaggio, President of CAI. “We remain bullish about the future. We are well positioned for the continued success of our business practices. That is the reason we are investing in the future by creating a work environment that helps deliver on our commitment to be an innovative partner with a long-term perspective.”
