Christiana Care Health System was ranked among the World’s Best Hospitals by Newsweek, one of the nation’s most widely read news magazines.

Newsweek recognized Christiana Care as being on the “forefront of adapting” to changes sweeping the health care industry “while providing top-notch patient care.”

The award recognizes the best 1,000 hospitals across 11 countries: the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Germany, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia.

“At Christiana Care, we serve together to provide the very best care and an exceptional experience to our community,” said Janice E. Nevin, M.D.  Christiana Care CEO. “This recognition by Newsweek is a testament to the dedication of our extraordinary caregivers, who deliver outstanding care every day, guided by our values, excellence and love. The recognition also affirms that our continued investment in our caregivers, technology and innovation is making a difference in the health of the people we serve.”

The rankings were determined based on recommendations from tens of thousands of doctors, hospital managers and health care professionals. In addition, the rankings factored in patient survey results and medical performance indicators.
