“The path to today’s announcement began with a conversation between two CEOs and good friends,”  said  Jeff Banning, CEO of Trinity Logistics, referring to contacts between himself and Burris CEO  Donnie Burris. “We talked about mutual goals, strengths, challenges, and our desire to be good stewards of family-focused, family-run companies. As we discussed our future and common visions, it became clear that we could become a stronger, more competitive organization by joining forces.”

Trinity will continue to operate under its name.

Privately  held Burris has about $3 billion in annual revenue, with $400 million in assets that include its own private fleet. It is ranked as the eighth largest cold storage provider in North America. Its warehouses are largely on the East Coast, with one site in Oklahoma.

Burris has Delaware sites in Milford, Harrington and New Castle, with another nearby location in  Elkton, MD.

The company dates back to 1925, with family members prominent in Delaware business and political circles. Trinity has been in operation for 40 years. Further information on Burris available at  www.burrislogistics.com
