Governors, a new home community developed by Jack Lingo Asset Management with new homes by Schell Brothers, is off to a strong start
This 423-home community launched sales in June of 2018 and has 110 sales in the books in only months at the site in the Gills Neck Road area east of Route 1 in the Lewes.
An earlier community, The Senators, was also developed in the area.
Half of the sales in the community have come from Delaware residents, which is not typical for the market that attracts out-of-state retirees or those building a second home.
A top seller has been The Orchid, a 1,600 square foot ranch home.
The community has direct access to the Junction & Breakwater Trail which connects Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.
Prices range from $350,000 for a townhouse to $500,000+ for a larger detached home.
