Wilmington Firefighters battled a blaze at a three-story building on the 200 block of North Market Street at around 5 p.m. on Monday.
Firefighters found heavy smoke showing from a three-story building in the middle of the block.
The first floor of the building is occupied by the 218 Grill restaurant.
Crews attacked the fire which was located in the rear of the restaurant and a small part of the second floor.
New Castle County volunteer fire companies covered stations and assisted at the scene.
The fire was under control by 6 p.m.
