The Better Business Bureau serving Delaware will honor five local companies on May 14.
The BBB Torch Awards for Ethics competition recognizes businesses that strive to go above and beyond in their dealings with customers, employees, vendors and their community. BBB Delaware presents the Torch Awards for Ethics each year to businesses that exemplify ethical behavior and display integrity in all aspects of its operations, a release stated.
Four Delaware companies were selected as 2019 Winners of the Torch Awards for Ethics. Those businesses are:
- Lakeside Pottery Studio
- SeaScape Property Management
- Spicer Mullikin Funeral Homes
- Katabat
A highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the Edward M. Rush Sr. Memorial Award for an outstanding family-owned business that displays integrity and exemplifies the ideals of community and civic service.
The recipient of that award is not aware of the honor until it is announced publically. Past winners include Shoprite of Delaware, AutoTeam Delaware, Boulden Brothers and Trinity Transport.
