Verizon customers reported an outage affecting text messaging.
An outage map from Down Detector showed the event included a large area of the East Coast, including Delaware.
The number of outage reports had dropped sharply. Reports of the outage surfaced around 7 a.m.
Some dispatches indicated the problem had been resolved at mid-morning, although reports of difficulties continued to appear on social media and elsewhere. There were also indications that the outage had less affect on iPhones.
Verizon is believed to be the largest wireless provider in Delaware.
