Cleveland Federal Reserve CEO to keynote annual UD-Lyons Economic Forecast

Lyons Companies and the  Lerner College Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship announce that  Loretta J. Mester, CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, will be the keynote speaker at the 13th annual Economic Forecast event on Feb. 19.
 
Mester joins a dynamic panel that also includes Michael K. Farr, author, CNBC contributor and president of Farr, Miller & Washington, LLC, and Joan K. Woodward, president, Travelers Institute and executive vice president for public policy with The Travelers Companies, Inc. The panel will be moderated by Jon Hilsenrath,  chief economic correspondent for The Wall Street Journal. The event will be held in Clayton Hall on the University of Delaware campus, from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
 
Each speaker will make opening remarks followed by a discussion about current economic conditions and  trends.
 
“This is a unique opportunity for the business community and students alike to hear directly from the policy-makers that shape and interpret U.S. economy,” said Catharine N. Lyons, CEO of  Lyons Companies.
 
Launched in 2006 as an employee education workshop, Lyons Companies’ Economic Forecast later  aligned with the University of Delaware’s Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship and has  grown to nearly 600 attendees.
