All counties saw small gains in the median sales price.

New Castle County saw a 7.3 percent increase in home sales, while Kent County (DE) and Sussex County saw sales declines of 1.5 percent and 1.3 percent respectively.

Outside of Delaware, southern Chester County, PA remained the hottest market in the region with an eight percent gain in sales from 2017 and a smaller gain in median sales price.  The county is well known for the quality of its schools.

Cecil County, MD saw a decrease in overall sales, with a small gain in selling prices.

Counties typically saw a decline in the number of days homes remained on the market. However, the stronger sales market also led to more listings.
