DSU’s Horton named to board

The American Conference of Academic Deans (ACAD) has elected Delaware State University’s Dr. Marshá Horton, dean of the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, as a new member of its Board of Directors.

[Not a valid template]The organization provides academic leaders with networking and professional development opportunities to support them in their work as educational leaders.

Horton began her tenure at DSU in 2013 as the interim dean of the then-College of Health and Public Policy. She became the permanent dean of that College in 2014 (the University’s 2018 academic restructuring resulted in its name change to the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences). The departments of Nursing, Psychology, Public & Allied Health and Social Work come under her college dean leadership.

Radnet, Inc. names director

Radnet, Inc. has announced that Jacqueline Holt, M.D. has joined Delaware Imaging Network as Medical Director of Women’s Imaging.

Holt will, among other things, build DIN’s new upright stereotactic breast biopsy program, featuring a stand-up breast biopsy, which also provides MRI guided breast biopsy and ultrasound breast biopsy.

Previously, Holt was a radiologist and director of breast imaging since 2001 at Christiana Care Health Systems in Newark. Prior to that, she was medical director at the School of Radiologic Technology, in Newark, for nine years. 

Holt, licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania, earned her bachelor’s degree from Temple University, and her doctor of medicine at the Temple University School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Board of Radiology and is a diplomat at the National Board of Medical Examiners. With numerous honors and awards, Holt has been published widely.

The Bancorp, Inc. adds accounting executives

The Bancorp, Inc. has the addition of three new Account Executives to its Commercial Fleet Leasing team. Joining the company are Eric Beyer, Missy Maylott, and Sean Wilson.

Beyer brings extensive experience to his new job with more than 25 years’ background in sales, account management and fleet leasing. Prior to joining The Bancorp, he served as a Regional Account Sales Manager at Aktion Associates.

Maylott’s commercial fleet leasing expertise includes her most recent position at Wilmar, Inc. where she was a Fleet Consultant for nearly ten years.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Sean Wilson has industry knowledge and sales experience. He previously served as a Commercial Account Manager at Mullinax Ford.

 Sussex County  commission adds a member

 Sussex County is turning to a set of experienced hand to weigh land use decisions and round out the County’s Planning & Zoning Commission.

County Council appointed  J. Bruce Mears of the Ocean View area to a seat on the five-member panel, a Council-appointed body that reviews and gives consideration toward subdivision applications and other land use requests.

Beebe Medical Group names VP

Stephen Keiser,  has joined Beebe Medical Group as its Vice President of Operations.

Keiser is a native Delawarean who has worked in medical group operations for the past nine years. He most recently served as Director of Operations for Primary and Specialty Care with Northwestern Medical Group, in Chicago.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in healthcare from the University of Delaware. Additionally, he has achieved the designation of Fellow in Hospital Medicine (FHM) from the Society of Hospital Medicine.

NAI Emory Hill names property manager

NAI Emory Hill announced that AJ Schwander and Ryan Williams have joined the firm as property managers.

AJ Schwanderhas 14 years of experience in property management, construction, logistics, operations and facility procedure development. He graduated from Wilmington University with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Ryan Williams previously was a real estate manager for the Suburban Philadelphia region where he was responsible for the management and operation of over 500,000 square feet  of office properties. He has more than 11 years of commercial real estate experience. He is a graduate of Widener University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in accounting.

Berkshire Hathaway welcomes associate

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors Bear Office, welcomed Candie Holley as a sales associate. She serves New Castle County.
