Art Museum to host ‘Conversations with Women Making a Difference’

On February 28,  the Delaware Art Museum will host the first in series of conversations with women making a difference in Delaware. The community is invited — men as well as women.

Carol Arnott-Robbins, founder of NEWS4Women, will hold  a panel discussion with Drew Fennell, Melanie Ross Levin, and Senator Elizabeth “Tizzy” Lockman, followed by a Q&A session. Topics will include career highlights, life stories, and “hard-earned wisdom from these three influential women,” a release stated. 

Tickets are $35 in advance until February 22. Tickets after Feb 22 and at the door are $40. Networking and refreshments are included. Register online at this link.

The event is jointly sponsored by Blue Blaze Associates  and  NEWS4Women.

All proceeds benefit the Delaware Art Museum.

The next two dates for the series of “Conversations with Women Making a Difference in Delaware” will be hosted by Delaware Art Museum on April 11  and October 10  All programs will run from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

This series aligns with the Museum’s new strategic direction, which focuses on becoming a more inclusive, relevant community resource, a release stated. 

Melanie Ross Levin is Director of the Office of Women’s Advancement and Advocacy for the State of Delaware. 

Drewry Nash Fennell is Chief Officer of Strategic Communication and Development for Christiana Care Health System. Prior to joining Christiana Care, Drew served as Chief of Staff to Delaware Governor Jack Markell.

Elizabeth “Tizzy” Lockman was elected to the Delaware State Senate in November 2018.  Lockman has long been an advocate for education reform.

Carol Arnott-Robbins is a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach. She specializes in collaborating with financial planners, attorneys, real estate appraisers, therapists, and other professionals to build a team around the specific needs of each client. Prior to her career in real estate, she spent 25 years providing financial planning and divorce strategy planning services She is the founder of Network to Encourage Women’s Support For Women (NEWS4Women), an initiative to build collaborative community and economic opportunities for women, and to support local nonprofit organizations.
