Dover International Speedway,  in cooperation with Dover-based Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company, is releasing a special “Splash & Go” Lager as part of the celebrations surrounding the Monster Mile’s 50th anniversary this year.

Splash & Go was developed to be an easy-drinking lager for fans to enjoy at home or in the grandstands at Dover International Speedway, a release stated.  It is named for the pit road strategy of drivers stopping in their pit box only to take a small amount of fuel before heading quickly back on the track.

As part of the Splash & Go launch, Dover International Speedway will host a beer release party on  Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. in the Winner’s Circle Restaurant at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.  The party is open to all.

“As we move toward our 50th anniversary race weekend in May, fans will continue to see these kinds of exciting announcements,” Dover International Speedway CEO Mike Tatoian said. “The team at Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company has been great to work with on this project, and we’re excited to now see Splash & Go arrive in liquor stores, bars and restaurants this month – and in the hands of fans during our spring and fall race weekends.”

The launch party will also feature a special “Splash & Go Spectacular” horse race as part of Dover Downs’ regular live harness racing card.
