Delaware is closer to ratifying a state Equal Rights Amendment that would be added to the state constitution.
WHYY reported that the measure passed the House and is on the way to the Senate. The amendment passed last year, but must be passed by two sessions of the General Assembly.
The effort to gain the amendment dates back three decades, with an effort to amend the U.S. Constitution falling short.
