Northern Delaware-based El Diablo Burritos is headed to downtown Wilmington, Town Square Delaware reported
The popular quick-service chain has locations in Pike Creek; Main Street, Newark; Branmar Plaza, north Wilmington; and the Trolley Square neighborhood in Wilmington.
The location will occupy the former Qdoba restaurant at 837 N. Market St. with an April opening planned, Town Square reported. The location is expected to offer breakfast, a new feature for El Diablo.

El Diablo has prospered despite competition from the Qdoba, Moe ’s and Chipotle chains. Of late, Chipotle has undertaken an aggressive expansion with new locations in New Castle and Stanton-Christiana.
El Diablo will be aided by a growing number of apartment units on the upper end of Market Street as well as other new restaurants. The company’s website also features nutritional information, a rarity among smaller restaurant groups.
