Early this month, Chase opened its first Delaware branch at its high-rise site on North Walnut Street in downtown Wilmington.
The branch comes with digital capabilities with an open format, including a living room space to welcome customers and promote conversation, according to a fact sheet from Chase.
The branch contains a Digital Access Bar that will allow branch staff to demonstrate self-service tools such as Chase Mobile and chase.com.
New branches also have smart ATMs, Wi-Fi throughout and tablets. Some will also have charging stations.
The Wilmington, North Walnut Street branch is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
With the opening of the branch, Chase will also add business banking. Mark Brindle has joined as Vice President, Commercial Banker to support Business Banking and Commercial Banking Middle Market ($5 million to $50 million). Brindle brings more than 36 years of banking experience most recently with M&T Bank, and he started his career at the Bank of Delaware.

Chase is planning to add other branches in the state. Parent company JPMorgan Chase is Delaware’s largest for-profit employer.
