The Firefly Music Festival will return to Dover on June 21-23, 2019, organizers reported.

Firefly will see new additions to the festival grounds, enhanced camping options, and a loyalty program.

Firefly is now under the sole ownership of AEG Presents, after buying out the share of the business owned by Chicago-based Red Frog Events. Red Frog launched the event in 2012 at The Woodlands, a 105-acre  property owned by Dover Motorsports.

AEG Presents hosts the massive  Coachella Music Festival in the California desert.

There had been concerns about the future of the festival after a couple of years of apparent attendance declines. However, last year’s Firefly saw higher attendance,  a factor in AEG’s decision to buy out Red Frog’s stake in the event.
