Dover resident arrested, Newark man sought in Rehoboth counterfeiting case

The  Rehoboth Beach Police Department has identified two suspects in a case of counterfeiting on the boardwalk in late August.

During the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 Rehoboth Beach Police, with the assistance of the Dover Police Department, located  and arrested Rasheed J. Cobb, 21, of Dover.

 Investigators determined that between August 25th  and August 27th, Cobb passed counterfeit  $100 bills at five separate businesses located along or near the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. 

Cobb was arrested and charged with five  counts of felony first degree forgery, 5 counts of felony second degree conspiracy, and 5 counts of misdemeanor theft under $1500. Cobb was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

The second suspect was  identified as Ishmael G. Lamin, 25, of Newark. Rehoboth Beach Police have obtained warrants for the arrest of Lamin for five counts of felony first degree forgery, five counts of felony second degree conspiracy, and five counts of misdemeanor theft under $1,500.
