A breakfast-focused restaurant has opened in Christiana.
First Watch opened at a new strip center off Churchmans Road and across the highway from Delaware Technical Community College’s Stanton Campus. The center is also home to a Chipotle
The restaurant will be open for breakfast, brunch and lunch daily.
Florida-based First Watch has a couple of hundred restaurants in more than two dozen states.
The first Watch enters a crowded market that includes Florida-based Metro Diner, which opened its first restaurant in nearby Ogletown, near Christiana Hospital. Another diner, Smiley’s opened off Route 273 in a former Pizza Hut. Smiley’s has another location in north Wilmington.
Next on tap will be The Turning Point, a small breakfast-brunch chain that is slated to open in the Christiana Fashion Center, near the mall.
Also coming to the Stanton area is Eggspectations, which will be operated by High Five Hospitality, the Buffalo Wild Wings franchise holder. Eggspectations is a Canadian company that is now franchising and offers a brunch-breakfast menu with adult beverages.
