Ashley Biden will be the keynote speaker at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Leadership Conference on Nov. 15.
The conference is a successor of the Entrepreneurial Women’s Expo, which ran for more than a quarter century.
The new format will provide a forum in which women in all levels of business can connect with resources, including educational and business opportunities, that inspire them to achieve success in professional and personal goals, a release stated.
This year’s event will feature all new workshops, more than 100 exhibitors and networking with more than 500 expected attendees. The workshops will provide valuable knowledge and insight into topics and areas of interest for professional women at all levels of their careers.
Biden is Executive Director of Delaware Center for Justice. Ashley advocates for those stuck in the criminal justice system and has been outspoken about the flaws of the justice system. She was a social worker for 15 years before joining the Center for Justice. Most recently she worked with the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families.
“This event gets bigger and better every year,” said New Castle County Chamber of Commerce President, Bob Chadwick. “This is one of our most popular events because it provides educational and motivational opportunities for attendees while expanding foot traffic for sponsors and vendors. Everyone walks away as a winner from this conference!”

Dr. LaVerne T. Harmon, President of Wilmington University, will be honored with The Women’s Leadership Award.
