Metro Diner opened its doors at 5600 Concord Pike in north Wilmington this week. It’s the third Metro diner in northern Delaware.
The other locations are in the Ogletown area south of Newark and Middletown.
The 4,800-square-foot diner with seating for more than 100 features breakfast all day, lunch and dinner with dishes made from scratch.
“Delaware has given Metro Diner a huge, warm welcome since we opened our first restaurant here last year,” said Concord Pike Metro Diner Managing Partner, Eric Jackson. “I’m so excited to welcome the folks of Wilmington, and introduce them to our good, classic diner favorites.”
The Concord Pike Metro Diner features daily specials and offerings such as Crab Cake Benedict, Meatloaf Plate, Holy Davoli Burger, Fried Chicken and Waffles topped with house-made strawberry butter and Charleston Shrimp & Grits. Most dishes are priced under $15.
The Diner held two pre-opening friends and family nights and raised more than $10,110 for the new Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children Cardiac Center and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Metro Diner will also offer a new catering menu.
