On Wednesday, students from Delcastle  Technical High School will speak with astronauts aboard the International Space Station on Wednesday afternoon.

Delcastle, located west of Wilmington, was the only school in Delaware and one of 13 nationwide to participate  in the project that will use an antenna built by Hodgson Vo-Tech High students in Glasgow

The project will use amateur radio technology from Radio Newark, a  station at 99.9 FM  that focuses on science and technology.

Also on hand will be representatives from  ILC Dover, a long-time maker of spacesuits.

Students will speak with astronaut Dr Serena Aunon-Chancellor during a 13-minute period when the spacecraft passes over Delaware.
