Artesian Resources Corporation adds board member

Artesian Resources Corporation announced the expansion of the Board of Directors by appointing Michael Houghton. The expansion of the Board of Directors recognizes Houghton’s areas of specific expertise as a new addition to the current board. [Not a valid template]

Houghton, a partner with the law firm of Morris Nichols Arsht & Tunnell in Wilmington,   has experience representing governmental entities, banks, trust companies, insurance companies and public utilities, including Artesian Water Company, in commercial transactions and before regulatory authorities.

Houghton has served in numerous leadership roles with both Delaware and national business and professional organizations, including as President of the Uniform Law Commission and the Delaware State Bar Association, as well as serving as member of the boards of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, the Delaware Public Policy Institute, the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation and the Rockefeller Trust Company of Delaware.

In 2017, Houghton was appointed by Delaware Gov. John Carney to serve as Chair of the Delaware Economic and Financial Advisory Council (DEFAC). DEFAC, which includes public and private sector representatives, is responsible for providing non-partisan and objective revenue and expenditure estimates to the Governor and General Assembly, as well as advice on tax policy and economic trends.

Santora CPA Group announces certification

Santora CPA Group announced that Theresa L. Hughes, MBA, CTFA is newly certified as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designee by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC).  Hughes joined the firm in September 2017 as Executive Vice President of Personal Trust Services after having been in the personal trust business for over 30 years. She attained a B.S. in Banking and Finance from Wilmington University, as well as an MBA from the same school. She also attended the ABA National Graduate Trust School and recently received the designation of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA).  

Community Bank names AV

Community Bank Delaware announced  the promotion of Steven Onuschak to Assistant Vice President in the Bank’s loan group.

Onuschak joined the Bank in 2017 and will continue to develop and manage business relationships with commercial customers. He brings 13 years of business development and lending experience–a record of fostering customer relationships throughout Sussex County. 

Tidewater Physical Therapy names clinical director 

Tidewater Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Associates P.A. announced that they hired Gregg Inocencio as their new Clinical Director and Doctor of Physical Therapy at  their Seaford location.

Inocencio, received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland College Park in 2005 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2013.

Kuhn of Dover Federal named Credit Union Rock Star

Tyler Kuhn from Dover Federal Credit Union in   Delaware, have each been honored as a 2018 Credit Union Rock Star, recognized annually in Credit Union National Association’s Credit Union Magazine.

“Professionals awarded the title of Credit Union Rock Star demonstrate outstanding performance that elevates not only them, but their entire community,” said Ann Hayes Peterson, vice president of publishing at CUNA. “The winners, their credit unions, and their leagues all deserve to be proud of this accomplishment.”

Vascular surgeon joins Beebe Medical Group

Beebe Medical Group and Beebe Healthcare welcomed Kevin Caldwell, MD, to Beebe Vascular.

Caldwell, received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, in Baltimore, in 2011. He then completed an intern year in General Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center and, most recently, completed an Integrated Vascular Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University, in Springfield, Ill.

Nanticoke names clinical director

Nanticoke Health Services announced that Lara Hudson, has been named director of clinical operations and population health.

Hudson started her career at Nanticoke in December 1999 as a CNA at Life Care while pursuing her RN degree. In 2001, she transferred into the Emergency Department   as an ED Tech and graduated with her RN degree in 2003. She has also worked in the Progressive Care Unit   and at the Georgetown Primary Care office.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (  from Wilmington University prior to moving into NPN administration in 2011. In this department, Hudson has served in several positions including EMR Administration and Manager of Clinical Programs. She is set to graduate with her Master of Science in Management  – Healthcare Administration from Wilmington University this December.

Arthur Hall Insurance earns designation

Arthur Hall Insurance announced that Jonathan Koegel has achieved the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and been promoted to Commercial Lines Supervisor.

Recognized throughout the industry, the CIC designation marks a standard of achievement, personal dedication, and expertise to succeed in an ever-changing demanding profession.

CIC Society’s national member requirements include the successful completion of rigorous graduate level examinations, satisfaction of experience requirements, and are bound by a strict code of professional ethics. He also holds the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.

Herman joins R & R Commercial Real Estate

R & R Commercial Real Estate, Dover,  announced the addition of Mike Herman to the staff of its growing business.  Herman’s expertise will add additional depth to the talented team at R&R in Property and Facilities Management.

Herman brings with him over a quarter century of experience in Corporate Real Estate Facilities and Property Management supporting commercial clients including Boeing, McGraw-Hill, Rohm & Haas and McKesson.  He also brings with him expertise gained working for the largest corporate real estate management companies in the world including Trammell Crow, C B Richard Ellis and Jones Lang LaSalle.

A graduate of Widener University and Arkansas State University, Folz brings her experience in investment properties. She serves New Castle County.
