Target is renovating its store in Dover as part of a 1,000-plus  location makeover.

The Dover renovation will be completed by late fall.

Target spokesperson Liz Hancock noted that the company has increased the number of stores to be renovated to more than 1,000 by end of 202.

In addition to the 110 stores remodeled in 2017, Target plans to fully renovate more than 300 stores in 2018, Hancock said.

According to Hancock, no two remodeling projects will be the same.

Across the country, we’ll be choosing elements to create customized concepts to meet the needs of local guests. The Target store in Dover, DE, is currently undergoing a remodel, to be completed later this fall.

Some elements of the remodel will include:

• Enhanced merchandise presentations and updated décor throughout the store to provide guests with inspirational statements, including modern fixtures, mannequins and specialty lighting.
• A specialty beauty environment, including new fixtures, enhanced lighting and layout.
• Updated order pickup and guest service counter, ensuring an easier and faster experience for guests picking up online orders.
• Remodeled food & beverage department featuring new wood-grain fixtures, updated floor, and  LED lighting.
• Modern design elements, including updated LED lighting, new paint, new floors and fixtures.
• New Starbucks added to store.
• A refreshed building exterior.

The makeovers come as Target reports  strong earnings, with executives reporting strong foot traffic and sales.

While only a fraction of the size of Walmart,  Target is known for its ability to turn around stores  to meet changing trends.  The company is also working to add smaller stores in urban areas and investing in delivery services and the supply chain.
