The ribbon was cut on Thursday at the new SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Downtown
The 132-suite hotel is located at 402 Ogletown Road, is owned by Danneman Hospitality LLC and managed by TKo Hospitality Management of Newport.
Representatives of Marriott, TKo and the Danneman family, as well as Newark Mayor Polly Sierer were on hand for the event. The hotel held a quiet opening in May.
Springhill Suites is convenient to Main Street and the University of Delaware.
Each suite also features the SpringHill Suites’ three-in-one, West Elm sofa which converts from a sofa to a daybed to a trundle bed. Also included is a West Elm Swivel Chair for relaxation. The designated workspace offers a well-lit desk area.
A daily complimentary breakfast is offered.
The hotel also offers business services, complimentary Wi-Fi, same-day dry cleaning, guest laundry facilities, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a meeting room.
SpringHill Suites consists of more than 350 properties across the United States and Canada.
