A Delaware lawyer was placed on probation for two years and publicly reprimanded.

The  Delaware Supreme Court accepted the Board on Professional Responsibility report in the matter of  Erik Grandell.  Click here  for filings.

According to court records,  Grandell previously agreed to go on inactive status  for disability reasons after the filing of disciplinary cases that were later resolved.

He was later allowed to return to practice under probation with restrictions that included being monitored by a member of the law firm where he worked.

In one case, he did not tell the law firm of his status and the need for monitoring. He was later terminated.

Grandell  did make his status known with a  Newark-area law firm.

Under the ruling, Grandell received the public reprimand. He must also work under restrictions that include not operating a solo practice or managing a law firm.

Grandell’s biography  with the law firm cites experience in business law and other areas as well as a stint as a Deputy Attorney General.

He is listed as being licensed in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
