As more people here and elsewhere find out about Delaware Business Now, the volume of news releases continues to increase.

We typically receive about 200 press releases and pitches a day, but only publish 60 stories a week.

That’s more than double the business news content of other sites with noncrime content Still, far too many worthy items do not see the light of day in areas such as nonprofit news and corporate law.

This led to a decision to compile news in a weekly or twice monthly column.

The first version of Law notes makes its debut in today’s newsletter. You won’t see any earthshaking developments. 

But  we believe the column will fill a void in a media environment where too few stories are posted, and  many items end up behind a  hard or soft subscription “paywall.”

Other regular columns are also in the work that will allow a “quick read” of industry-specific local news.
