Metro Diner sees June opening in Middletown

Metro Diner is coming to Middletown with a June opening planned at the location at 745 Middletown Warwick Road.

The first Delaware Metro Diner opened in the Ogletown area south of Newark. The newest restaurant will bring 100 new jobs to the area.

The 3,800-square-foot diner in Middletown will seat more than 120 guests indoors and out, and serve up classic comfort food staples.

Items include fried chicken and waffles topped with a house-made strawberry butter, and a burger flanked by two grilled cheese sandwiches and topped in a Metro Diner special slaw.

Metro Diner prepares everything in-house, from the sauces, soups, and compotes to home fries and chips.

Applications to join the Metro Diner team will be accepted now through the June opening for various positions including server, host and kitchen staff.
