Delaware Health Information System (DHIN)  added   Limestone Open MRI and Imaging Centers   as its newest data sender.

Imaging results from Limestone are now available to healthcare providers through DHIN’s Community Health Record (CHR) and delivered directly through the CHR inbox and auto print channels, as well as through participating electronic medical record connections.

Patients using DHIN’s free personal health record,  Health Check Connect,  may also access their imaging results there. (Note that the ordering physician receives all results up to 84 hours prior to ensure he or she has the opportunity to follow up with the patient first.)

Randy Farmer, DHIN chief operating officer, said, “Partnerships with data senders like Limestone Open MRI and Imaging are key to DHIN’s ongoing efforts to provide a more complete patient record for Delaware’s medical community.”

Limestone Open MRI and Imaging Center Medical Director Tariq Quraishi, MD, cited the importance of the at-a-glance medical record DHIN provides, saying, “We are excited for our patients and referring physicians to now more easily access imaging reports through DHIN.”

To date, DHIN has partnered with 30 data senders, including hospitals, labs, radiology firms and other health information exchanges, to provide clinical results for more than 2.5 million patients.
